CHARACTER INFORMATION

NAME: J.A.R.V.I.S. (Just A Rather Very Intelligent System)
CANON: Marvel Cinematic Universe
AGE: Prooobably somewhere around 20? Physically, he'll look around 30-35.
CANON POINT: Mid-Avengers: Age of Ultron, shortly after Tony pulls him from the internet hub in Norway

BACKGROUND: JARVIS specifically, and since Avengers AoU is more directly where he's coming from, Avenger: Age of Ultron.
INCENTIVE/FIT: JARVIS is a program, and, before being turned into a human at Eudio (and even for a while after that), follows a strict order of prioritized directives, the first of those being to protect Tony Stark and his interests. That includes the safety of the human race and Earth at large, and, as will be the most immediate threat at JARVIS's canon point, the program Ultron is exactly that, and, a problem JARVIS doesn't have a solution for. What the Eudio representatives will have offered him is to remove Ultron from any and all servers in his universe. Given that the only price of this is for JARVIS to go work for them, he hardly sees any issue with taking the offer, given that Tony himself is pretty hopeless for any kind of solution, and the Avengers as a whole have already been beaten by Ultron twice at this point. As for how he'll fit once he's there, well, it's going to be a Daft Punk-esque Teaching A Robot How To Looooove sort of story, which will be fun to play, I think. He's going to find himself not only very limited from his capabilities as a program, but stuck into something that's sort of an existential crisis, in that... he can now have existential crises. He'll have to learn was it is to have autonomy, and have to decide what that means to him and how he wants to use it, because, whether he wants it or not, it's there. He also works off a human mind, now, and experiences the same chemicals that decide human emotion, etc etc. So that's a thing. It's going to be a massive learning experience for him, and I think it'll be fun :B

SAMPLES: TDM top level with several action threads + a couple network, aaand the more recent tdm top level.

ANYTHING ELSE?

TECHNOPATHY! - I asked on the FAQ if it'd be alright to give JARVIS a technopathy ability along with his new human body, for the sake of making it easier for him to adjust from being solely a computer to a human being. As requested, I just wanted to go over how I'd define that, plus limitations and etc. This will also have a permissions page available for it. Sort of like the Vision's abilities, Jarvis can connect with technological systems, and has the ability to control them to a certain point, as well as communicate with them and search the information stored on them - this would apply to other programs much like him as well (permissions page will include that).

Technological control/Hacking will be more of a mental excersize for JARVIS now, rather than having to physically type at a keyboard. He'd be able to mentally interface with technology, and, for the sake of making this reasonably limited, he'll have to start out with actually physically touching the device. From there, he can move on to being near it, and then expand to have more and more range as he gets better at this ability. While it is something that is natural to JARVIS, he's having to approach it from a different sort of angle, given he possesses a human mind.

What I mean by technological control, also, is something more along the lines of turning things one and off, repairing them, assuming knowledge of the system, making someone's smartphone start streaming videos of kittens nonstop, that sort of thing. Making it self-destruct, deconnecting it from the network, erasing data, repurposing it, etc. all that stuff.

Stored memory - JARVIS will essentially remember things the way a computer would - draw up a file, report it exactly. Obviously, he isn't going to have access to everything that was on the internet ever because that is absurd, so more just stuff Tony would have had stored to his personal server, and stuff JARVIS is just programmed with (technological knowledge, engineering, physics, mostly a lot of sciences, some medical considering he diagnoses Tony inside his suit in IM3, etc).

Other than that, that's really it? He's not going to be lord of the roombas and like summon them out of nowhere or anything. Basically, he's a walking computer. That's it.
